Mark your calendars – at January’s meeting, we will have Dr. Emese Kalnoki-Kis MD, local plastic surgeon, as well as Sharon Rhodes RN for Lifecell in to speak to us on alloderm and breast reconstruction options for women.
Bosom Buddies is now offering support for those with advanced or recurrent breast cancer. We at Bosom Buddies recognize the support needs for those diagnosed with advanced or recurrent breast cancer are often markedly different from those who are newly diagnosed. We are excited to welcome Circle of Help to our family of breast cancer support groups. We are thrilled to be able to offer this level of support that meets these unique specific needs. Circle of Help meets at the John C Lincoln Breast Health and Research Center at 19646 N. 27th Ave. Suite 205 Phoenix AZ 85027 the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Meetings are free of charge and are led by a facilitator who is a breast cancer survivor.

The equine community has been very supportive of the breast cancer community. Bosom Buddies was honored to be the beneficiary of the proceeds from the second annual Purina Mills Pink 50 Benefit Trail Ride. “We are thrilled to be selected as the recipients of this trail ride. Even though I could not attend due to a scheduling conflict, my husband Bill Chase was there to represent this wonderful organization. It is certainly a case of women helping women.”, states President, Becky Chase. “The $3000 in proceeds from this ride , will help us continue to provide valuable services to those diagnosed with breast cancer. We are very grateful to Stephanie Maclean, of Purina Mills, and all of those in the equine community who donated valuable products and services to make this trail ride such a success.
