Advocacy
Bosom Buddies of Arizona is a member of the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). We have a network of breast cancer activists who focus on national and state grass roots advocacy in coordination with NBCC.
Since 1991, the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s trained advocates have lobbied at the national, state and local levels for public policies that impact breast cancer research, diagnosis and treatment. NBCC has hundreds of member organizations and tens of thousands of individual members working toward increased federal funding for breast cancer research and collaborating with the scientific community to implement new models of research, improve access to high-quality health care and breast cancer clinical trials for all women, and expand the influence of breast cancer advocates in all aspects of the breast cancer decision-making process.
Bosom Buddies of Arizona wants to increase the involvement and influence of those living with breast cancer in the decision-making processes that impact all aspects of the disease. Bosom Buddies activists attend the annual NBCC Annual Advocacy Training Conference and visit leaders and legislators in Arizona and Washington. You can join our efforts by adding your voice.
